Character Stat Maxing Guide

Hiya, I’m FurryBagi. (Bay-jee. Not Baggy) I’ve put alot of work into this guide, trying my best to make it the best that I could. All I ask is that if you like this guide and see me around, let me know! I hang out on the GameFAQS message board as. FurryBagi! This guide is simply here to help players figure out how to more easily max their stats completely on Phantasy Star Online, using their materials, mags, and units. There are plenty of stat maxxing guides out there, but none of them completely max your stats, but this one does! Well, except of course for 2 classes which I have found are just 100% impossible to max out, but I got them very very close. These 2 classes would be: HUnewearl, and FOnewearl. Anyways, enjoy! (Note that you do have to be level 200 for your stats to be maxxed with these setups) Any errors, should be reported to me via my contact information in the next section.

Sorry people. She is completely impossible to ever max out. I tried my best. I did everything I possibly could, but this is the best I could do. While she will be 96 MST away from the max, look at the bright side. She will still have every other stat maxxed, and her MST will still be higher than any other type of Hunter. I think that they can generally live without the 192 TP, and 10-12 extra tech damage. After all they can effectively use a double saber to drain TP. As for God/Battle and Cure/Freeze, all I can really say is that God/Battle doesn’t seem to help a HUnewearl very much anyways and Cure/Freeze is only needed for Sil Dragon and Dark Falz.

Comments

You can use whatever you want in slot 4. God/Battle is nice, but not always necessary since guns shoot so fast anyways. I would personally keep a God Battle in the slot except when fighting bosses with a freeze special (Sil Dragon and Dark Falz form 1/2) The God/Mind may also be substituted if necessary, since the 33 MST that it adds is not really all that useful, except to have yellow stats all the way down.

I tried my best to max out Fomar using only 1 God/Ability, but according to my math, it just can’t be done. If only they could use 3 more materials, it would be possible. If anyone can manage to find a way around this, let me know.

Sadly, FOmarl is the closest character to being maxxed without a god/ability, but it just isnt possible. Oh well, you can use those 42 materials at your leisure at earlier levels to pump yourself up a bit more.

The 2nd hardest force to try to max and still have room for other slots. During Sil Dragon an Dark Falz, the Cure/Freeze is highly suggested, due to the FOnewms low HP. The 40 MST lost wont be that big of a deal during a boss

While she will be 58 MST away from the max, look at the bright side. She will still have every other stat maxxed, and her MST will still be higher than any other type of forces. I think that one can generally live without the 118 TP, and 4-5 extra damage.


Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: Why do you only use 5-35 luck materials on the characters? Don’t you need 45 to max out luck?
    • A: No. Every character listed above uses God/Ability’s to make up the lacking luck. Each God/Ability adds 20 luck.
  • Q: What if I have used too many of 1 material?
    • A: Sometimes it is fixable, sometimes it isn’t. If, for example, you have only used 4 mind materials more than you should, then the steps to fix it are:
      1. Make sure you use 4 power materials less than you should
      2. Make sure your mag has 4 more pow than it should
      3. Make sure your mag has 4 less mind than it should
      4. Power and Mind are the only 2 stats that are interchangeable in this way
  • Q: What if my mag has more than 5 def. It can be hard to keep it that low?
    • A: It depends on how many leftover materials your class has available. If for example, you end up with 7 def on your mag. Make sure that either MIND or POW is the stat that has 2 less. (Or make sure each stat is 1 less), then use whatever amount of materials are necessary to make up the loss.
